Kira Olds became Kalamazoo College's head athletic trainer on July 1, 2011. Kira came to Kalamazoo from Lincoln University (Pa.) where she served as an assistant athletic trainer the past two years. At Lincoln, Kira assisted with coverage of the Lions’ 17 intercollegiate sports teams, including daily practice and game supervision.

Prior to her time at Lincoln, Kira worked as an athletic trainer at Western Illinois University from 2007-2009, working primarily with the women’s soccer team. She also worked as head athletic trainer for the Traverse City (Mich.) Beach Bums professional baseball team during the summer of 2008. Kira has also worked in a clinical setting in her native Traverse City.

Kira earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training at Ball State University in 2005 and a master’s degree in kinesiology at Western Illinois University in 2010. Kira is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist.

Dan Krasinski became Kalamazoo College’s assistant athletic trainer on August 1, 2011.

Dan graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training in 2009 and completed his master’s degree in exercise and sports medicine at Western  in 2011. During his undergrad years, Dan served as the head athletic training student for the Broncos’ hockey program. He also assisted with the Kalamazoo College volleyball and basketball programs, Mattawan High School’s athletic programs, and with Western Michigan University’s Sports Medicine Clinic. Dan was also a linebacker for a Broncos’ football team that made two bowl appearances (International Bowl & Texas Bowl), while earning the John Gill Scholar Athlete Award during his senior season.

As a graduate assistant at Western Michigan University, Dan provided injury rehabilitation for students and faculty at the Sindecuse Health Center. He also provided athletic training services for the WMU Dance Program, Schoolcraft High School football, Martin High School volleyball and basketball, along with various youth sports organizations.

Dan is a native of Mattawan, Mich. He and his wife, Danielle, reside in Kalamazoo.
