Senior Athlete Awards - 2010

The Kalamazoo College Department of Athletics announced its senior athlete awards during the Senior Awards Ceremony prior to Commencement.
Awards were presented as follows:

The Kalamazoo College Athletic Association Award: Brandon Luczak, Football, Baseball
This award is presented to the graduating male senior who has most successfully combined high scholarship with athletic prowess during his four years in college.

The Mary Long Burch Award: Jillian McLaughlin, Cross Country
This award is presented to an outstanding female member of the senior class who has both manifested interest in sports activities and excelled in scholarship.

The Opie Davis Award: Paul Ellis, Swimming
This award is presented to the best male senior athlete based on athletics alone.

Outstanding Senior Athlete Award: Katy Knoechel, Swimming
This award is presented to the best female senior athlete based on athletics alone.

The Cas Smith Award: Beau Wangtrakuldee, Tennis
This award, presented in memory of Catherine Anne Smith, is presented to a woman athlete who in her participation gave all, never quitting, and with good spirit; who supported others unselfishly, and whose example was inspirational.

The George Acker Award: Nick Robell, Soccer
This award is presented to a male athlete who in his participation gave all, never quitting, and with good spirit; who supported others unselfishly, and whose example was inspirational.
