Kalamazoo College Softball Takes Hiatus for 2009 Season
The Kalamazoo College softball team will take a hiatus for the 2009 season due to a lack of participants. The College is fully committed to fielding a team for the 2010 season.

“It is unfortunate that we are unable to field a softball team for the 2009 season,” said Kristen Smith, Director of Atheltics. “A recent transition in coaching staff has impacted our recruiting efforts for the softball program, and with many competing priorities, some of our returning students have made other choices.”

Efforts continue to ensure the program’s future.

“We have made positive strides towards next year’s incoming class and we plan on taking the field again next season,” Smith added. “The College is working diligently to sustain competitive programs in all areas of athletics.”
