Women's Cross Country Headlines

Women's Cross Country Season Preview
The women’s cross country team said goodbye to Jillian McLaughlin '10, the most decorated cross country runner in the history of the women’s cross country program. McLaughlin was a four- time All-MIAA performer and two-time NCAA Division III national qualifier.

The program is looking up, however, with the return of three seasoned runners from their study abroad experience. Sarah Allexan, Collin Brummel and Toni Skalican lead an excellent senior class. Each ran in the top five at various points during ther sophomore season, and look to make their mark on the program as they complete their senior year.

Ellen Conner was a solid performer last year as a freshman and Coach Dimcheff is looking for Ellen to rise to the top spot and establish herself as a top performer for the Hornets.

Overall, the team has much more depth entering the 2010 season. It will be interesting to see if the Hornets can move the pack up enough to make up for the loss of McLaughlin. (Story courtesy Sharri Brumfield)
